These five menu items are the standard edit menu commands available to you from any Macintosh application. The only command in this menu that you will be concerned with in BugScan is the 'Copy' command.
Preferences...
Opens the BugScan Preferences window. In the Preferences window, you can do the following:
• Turn system sounds on or off.
• Turn BugScan's visual display of filenames on or off during a quick scan or a full scan
(turning filenames off results in a quicker scan).
• View the total number of suspect files ('bugs') BugScan has isolated.
• View the date BugScan's 'Virus Data' is current at.
• Show or hide the 'Virus Data' window.
• Set BugScan's 'default' scanning method on startup.
Holding down the 'option' key on your keyboard while selecting the 'Preferences...' menu item will provide you with one more 'hidden' option in the Preferences window:
• Show all invisible files or bypass icon files when using the 'Get Invisible Files...'
function (see the section entitled 'BugScan Special Menu').
This option must be used with caution and is intended for experienced users only. Don't make an invisible file visible unless you know what you are doing.
